Asos

Worked closely with teams to fulfil business and user needs, through workshops, refinement sessions and validation with users. This involved looking at flexible designs that worked for multiple pages and contexts.

Responsive role out
As part of the ASOS responsive rollout, I was responsible for socialising new user experience standards and designs for the homepage, campaigns, business pages and articles to development and marketing teams. I also championed the transition from text in imagery to using live text with scalable/context specific imagery.

Project approach and process
I acted as the bridge between marketing and tech for a lot of UI/UX. I supported marketing teams in planning campaigns as well as promoting a more user centric approach, taking into consideration flows and accessibility. This was done, through workshops, refinement sessions and validation with users. This involved creating flexible designs that worked for multiple pages and contexts with the aim to fulfil business and user needs.

Integrated content
Focusing on the content and the marketing side of the ASOS proposition I worked on projects that look at how we can better integrate useful and informative content into the user journey. I explored feeds, video and other shopp-able UX patterns and presenting new ideas and innovative products to the board. This led to deep dive research into content types and strategy to help better understand what a user is looking for in order to make a purchase.

Integrated content

How do we make the experience valuable to the user and business. This exploration is about creating a richer, more valuable experience to the user.

Based on the new header design this approach looks at how we utilise the header space to house existing content in context to the current listing page a user is on.

Content manageable video

As part of the suite of content editable Sitecore modules, the task was creating a module that could deliver video content to users was a high priority for the business.

ASOS produce a lot of video content and have the desire to make even more going forward! Video content produced has been mostly distributed via social channels and have had no where to live on site or in apps until now.
